In addition to reproducing original plates, we also produce new plates, plaques and metal signs to customers' own designs. These have included commemorative plates, award plates, restored by plates, industrial signs, house signs etc.

Traditional or Modern...

At Vintage Brass Plates we are often asked by our customers to produce a new plate for them but in a traditional, old style. As we specialise in the reproduction of old plates, we know exactly what makes a plate look traditional. If required we can match the style of the new plate with original plates already fitted to a particular machine.

Our process also allows us to produce plates with a modern look. Often modern plates and signs have the lettering and detail etched or engraved into the metal, whereas the traditional way was to etch away the background to leave the lettering raised. Our process allows us to produce plates either way and with the same level of quality. We are able to achieve extremely fine detail and crisp edges to ensure that the new plates are clear and easy to see. We can also etch company logos and other complex images onto the plates or signs.

We can either design the artwork ourselves to meet your requirements or you can send us an image of exactly what you need. We can accept artwork in many formats or you can simply send us a rough sketch. In both cases the final artwork is sent to you for approval before the plates are made.
